Spring has arrived, warm spring breeze blows on the face, warm ocean, comfortable extremely.
My father and I went to the park to find the fun of spring. A few willows swaying in the wind attracted our attention near the river. My father talked about his childhood, when, in the spring, my friends would play with the newly sprouted wicker as a flute.
My father's words aroused my great curiosity. A big question mark rose in my mind, "what is a flute made of wicker?"
At my entreaties, Dad promised us to play flute with wicker.
First of all, I found a straight, budding wicker. Dad twisted it hard, and the outer skin of the wicker was separated from the inner one. Then he slowly pulled out the inner one to make the outer skin become a tube. He used scissors to make the tube skin into small sections. One end of each section was scraped off a small part of the skin with a knife, and then he pressed it gently with his hand. A small flute was successful. It's really wonderful that the flute with different length will make different sounds.
Dad said that although the flute made of wicker is fun, we broke the sprouting willow, damaged the growth of willow, and damaged the environment. This kind of behavior is wrong. We should start from the small things around us to protect the environment from damage.
