在维也纳“金色大厅”里，一曲《梁祝》博得了全场喝彩。而钢琴师不是朗朗，不是李云迪，他是一个没有手臂的青年。他是用双脚在弹奏，他创造了奇迹！他，就是2011年度感动中国人物之一刘伟。
In the "Golden Hall" of Vienna, a song "Liang Zhu" won the whole audience's applause. And the pianist is not Lang Lang, not Li Yundi, he is a young man without arms. He's playing with his feet. He's done wonders! He is Liu Wei, one of the most touching Chinese figures in 2011.
13年前，刘伟在玩耍时被10万伏高压线击中了双臂。三个月里，快乐也随着双臂走了。刘伟在不停地哭，哭过了就睡，睡醒了又继续哭。他的世界里充满了悲伤。在康复中心的两年里，在妈妈和病友的鼓励下，刘伟变得乐观起来。渐渐地，刘伟学会了用脚写字、吃饭、刷牙、洗脸、穿衣服，几乎别人能用手完成的事情，他都能用脚完成。
Thirteen years ago, Liu Wei was hit in both arms by a 100,000 volt high-voltage wire while playing. In three months, happiness went with both arms. Liu Wei kept crying, went to sleep after crying, woke up and continued to cry. His world is full of sadness. During the two years in the rehabilitation center, encouraged by his mother and sick friends, Liu Wei became optimistic. Gradually, Liu Wei learned to write, eat, brush his teeth, wash his face and dress with his feet. Almost everything that others can do with their hands can be done with his feet.
后来，刘伟参加了游泳训练。游泳需要靠四肢来保持平衡。想要练好游泳对缺少双臂的刘伟来说谈何容易！他付出的努力比其他人多好几倍。沉下去，抬起来，又沉下去，再奋力抬起来……就这样，经过两年的刻苦努力，刘伟终于在残奥会上大显身手，夺得了金牌。
Later, Liu Wei took part in swimming training. Swimming requires limbs to keep balance. It's not easy for Liu Wei, who lacks arms, to practise swimming well. He worked several times harder than others. Down, up, down, up again... In this way, after two years of hard work, Liu Wei finally made his mark at the Paralympic Games and won the gold medal.
就在刘伟找到自信，备战2008年残奥会时，万万没想到，他又患上了严重的过敏性紫癜。他不能再做剧烈运动了。
When Liu Wei found self-confidence and prepared for the 2008 Paralympic Games, he was unexpectedly suffering from severe allergic purpura. He can't do strenuous exercise any more.
刘伟只好放弃了游泳，开始学习弹钢琴。刘伟的父母借钱给刘伟买了架钢琴，由于没有钢琴老师，刘伟只得自学。刘伟发现自己能利用的脚趾只有三个。可是三个脚趾跟怎么才能达到常人五个手指弹奏的效果呢？他只能两只脚一起弹，靠速度来切换音符。他一天练习七个小时以上，最后腿都抬不起来了，脚也磨出了血泡。功夫不负有心人，经过不懈的努力，刘伟用脚弹钢琴，已经达到常人用手弹钢琴的七级！
Liu Wei had to give up swimming and start learning to play the piano. Liu Wei's parents borrowed money to buy Liu Wei a piano. Without a piano teacher, Liu Wei had to learn by himself. Liu Wei found that he had only three toes to use. But how can three toes achieve the effect of ordinary people playing with five fingers? He can only play with two feet, switching notes by speed. He practiced for more than seven hours a day, and at last he could not lift his legs and his feet were bleeding. After unremitting efforts, Liu Wei played the piano with his feet, reaching the seventh level of ordinary people playing the piano with their hands.
