An individual or nation showing no respect for the essence of traditional culture cannot be expected to develop or become stronger. Hence, something could and should be done to reverse the inexorable decline (扭转衰退)with the emphasis on Chinese traditional culture.
一个不尊重传统文化的个人或民族不可能发展壮大。因此，针对中国传统文化，我们应该做些什么来扭转其衰退。
There is a tendency for many young people to take on western values and pursue consumerism (消费主义)and hedonism (享乐主义), yet at the same time, to abandon traditional values exemplified by diligence and self-discipline(自律).
许多年轻人开始接受西方价值观，追求消费主义和享乐主义，而同时放弃了以勤奋、自律为代表的传统美德。
Nevertheless, it is just these moral values, inherited and accumulated from generation to generation in Chinese people, that have helped main social stability and unify us as a nation.

Traditional Chinese culture should never be a relic of the past (历史的遗迹), but be a living spiritual power that manifests in the lives of all Chinese people today.
传统中国文化永远不应成为历史的遗迹，而应成为一种鲜活的精神力量、体现在当今所有中国人的生命之中。
